Hello World,
So its been a LONG time since I've posted or blogged about a topic. That is because I've been having a very wonderful summer and a spectacular first week of school at Utah State University. Its been a very busy 3 or 4 months, a lot has changed for me, and a lot is going to probably change...well.... for me that is... i hope....maybe?
I had to say goodbye to one of my closest and best friends the other day because he is heading out on his own little journey to the Philippines as a missionary. I'm very happy for him and for the many things that he'll learn on his 2 year journey. I'm sure he'll find himself and learn many different things about life and that he'll change once he returns. I'm excited for that day to come, but for now all i have to do is wait and find myself out here back at home.
That brings me to one of my topics: Don't try to change yourself for other people.
You may know who you are right now and if changing yourself for others is alright with you then your fine, just don't let it consume you. You shouldn't have to be embarrassed with some of the aspects that make you well... you! If you find yourself acting differently around a group of people and your tailoring your behaviors to this group, just think that you don't have to change yourself for others to like you. If they truly like you they would accept you for who you really are. While we are this topic id like to share to you that i play the card game Magic: The Gathering, i did play Dungeons and Dragons and it was a very fun experience i do recommend it, i am a freak about video games such as Halo and Super Smash Brothers, I can tell you a ton of stuff about Megaman(or Rockman if your Japanese), Ive seen Tron Legacy about 5 times and the Original Tron about 4 even though the effects are kind of cheesy, yes i was little i did wish i was a knight in the medieval ages fighting dragons and creatures, Ive played about every single Pokemon Game that has come out(Except for those weird adventure ones with the rangers and puzzle games...), and i do listen to 8-bit music from time-to-time because it is pretty awesome. Does this change your view on me? Maybe a little if you didn't know me before hand. Do i care? Not really, because that is who i am and i truly do like who Ive become.
The moral of the story: "Don't change yourself to please others." Simple as that.
Camera Tip Visual Effects Trick of the Day:
So I'm gonna start doing these every blog entry when i actually do an entry so bare with me if i do give good advise or it is a little sketchy.
-When using your camera to record events or shots for a movie, try switching positions and give the viewers a different perspective every now and then to spice things up. It helps tell the story better and its visually appealing(and it beats holding that camera in the same spot for a whole 20 minutes...dang that hurts your arms sometimes.)
Later Days,
Aaron Lam
